Placenta Encapsulation

Womb Love offers both the Raw and Traditional Chinese Method (TCM or Heated)  methods of encapsulation. Please specify which method you would like for your encapsulation. I may also do both raw and traditional for you.

 

RAW METHOD

 

The Raw Method of encapsulation is well suited for mothers who practice a raw diet method. In this process, the placenta skips the steaming process before dehydration. It creates a very nutrient rich and hormone dense capsule. We do not recommend the Raw Method for women with previous history of anxiety, insomnia, or jitters. The Basics: the placenta is sliced & dehydrated or until fully dry then powdered. Capsule amount varies by the size of the placenta.  Capsule amount is higher with raw method and can yield around 100-170 capsules.

 

 

TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE METHOD (TCM)

 

In the theory of Traditional Chinese method, practitioners feel that the process of laboring and giving birth leaves a great deal of open, empty spaces. These empty spaces are considered yin, or very cold. One way to promote healing during the cold postpartum period is to add yang, or heat, to balance the deficiency. For this reason, the placenta is lightly steamed before dehydration to provide warmth during the postpartum period. The Basics: the placenta is steamed and then dehydrated (temp varies) until fully dry then powdered. Capsule amount varies by the size of the placenta. Usually around 80-130 capsules.

 

Placenta Tinctures

 

Tinctures can be used for years for hormone stabilization, energy, transition and stress.  It is a great option if your pills run out. Also great for menopause. Tinctures keep indefinitely.    The tincture takes 6 weeks to be made so it is not available immediately after the birth like the placenta capsules will be. You can use it to boost your milk supply, or when your menstrual cycle returns.  Each tincture is 4oz. Made with 100 proof alcohol. Suggested dosage is 7-10 drops in a glass of water. (Can also be used direct without water).

 

Placenta Art Print

 

Before I encapsulate your placenta, and based on the package you choose. I can make a beautiful keepsake of your placenta. The "thumbprint" of your babies life support during your pregnancy. I will apply food coloring gel to your placenta and place a watercolor paper on top of the fetal side of the placenta and will review the size and look of your placenta to keep forever. You can also ask for a blood print instead of the color prints. Just let me know which one you would like to choose.

 

Umbilical Cord Keepsake

 

The umbilical cord keepsake is included in all packages. Another way to keep the forever bond you had during pregnancy is to keep the umbilical cord. I will dehydrate the umbilical cord into a shape for you to keep forever. Size is determined on the size of the cord.
